First Day at USA

First day here= Nightmare

i still remember my first day here, i got out from airport, and waiting for my mama. There was a man who was talking to me in English.

" Hey, whats up?" he said.

Of course i didnt say anything, because i thought he was asking me what is up? i was like, ok this is a joke isnt it?! He knows whats up, SKY of course, what else it can be! i thought he wasnt that friendsly, so i ignored him, just standing there and waiting my mom.

Later on, she came, and said same thing as that guy just said.
"whats up, Eason."

i felt really really werid at that time, is American people stupid? Its not funy at all, stop asking me whats up, my answer will only be SKY, thats it, and be honest, i was kinda mad.

i asked my mom, "Ma, why does everyone ask me what is up? R they blind or what?"

My mama was laughing like when a kid get a candy.

" why? what r u laughing at?" i asked.

" Son, They asked u whats up is not like they were asking u what is up. They were just Greeting. Like, hey how is going or how do u do. U cant be mean to people who asked this question, just answer: nothing much. "

i was totally freak out, i felt so sorry to that guy, i bet he hated me at that moment.

It is very funny, isnt it?! But when the time i know what mean "whats up" is, i felt so embarrassed. :C

Its my first day here, i like to share my story with anyone, i hoep it made u laugh. ;D
